Description

The Meyer‑Näkel Dernauer Pfarrwingert 2014 is a Pinot Noir from the Ahr region, made from fruit of the single vineyard Dernauer Pfarrwingert, classified as a VDP.GROSSE LAGE. Aromas of red berries, floral hints and subtle spice lead into a palate defined by freshness, a saline mineral streak and fine, silky tannins. Vinification includes roughly 20 days of maceration and about 18 months of ageing in barrique (30% new oak), followed by 6 months bottle maturation and unfiltered bottling. Its structure and acidity give it good ageing potential.
