Description

Miani's Chardonnay comes from Enzo Pontoni's work in the Colli Orientali del Friuli, around Buttrio and Rosazzo. Careful vine management, low yields and rigorous grape selection underpin a deliberately limited production. For this white, harvesting is manual and fermentation takes place in French oak, followed by maturation in wood and a period in bottle. The estate's approach seeks depth and concentration without sacrificing balance. Chardonnay becomes part of a personal Friulian interpretation in which work in the vineyard comes before every cellar decision, giving a familiar international variety a strongly individual context.
