Description

Miani’s Friulano is a white wine from the Colli Orientali del Friuli, produced at Enzo Pontoni’s estate in Buttrio. It is made entirely from Friulano grown on ponca, the marl formation characteristic of this area. Fermentation and maturation take place in wooden vessels. Vineyard work at the estate is marked by rigorous pruning and crop thinning, with very restricted yields and close attention to individual vines. The cuvée therefore presents a historic Friulian grape through an approach in which the concentration of the fruit begins in the vineyard.
