Description

Miani’s Merlot Buri comes from the Colli Orientali del Friuli, within Enzo Pontoni’s work in Buttrio. The Merlot grapes are sourced from vineyards farmed according to organic practices on ponca soils, trained to Guyot and harvested by hand. Fermentation uses selected yeasts and French oak vessels; maturation continues in wood before periods in stainless steel and bottle. This sequence accompanies fruit obtained through restricted yields, placing the international grape variety within a focused interpretation of hillside viticulture in Friuli and the estate’s approach to winemaking.
