Description

Cossut is Miani's selection of Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, interpreting one of Friuli's historic varieties. It comes from the hillside setting of Buttrio and ponca soils, shaped by Enzo Pontoni's work and rigorous grape selection. For the 2019 vintage, the note published by the importer describes raspberry, dark spice, sage and cocoa, with a silky texture supported by lively acidity and firm tannins. Liquorice and red fruit return on the finish. This is a red in which power and freshness coexist, allowing room for gradual development and the distinctive personality of the grape.
