Miani’s Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso is a red wine from the Colli Orientali del Friuli, associated with the work of Enzo Pontoni. The cuvée’s grapes come from Buttrio and San Giovanni al Natisone, on ponca soils. Maceration is followed by maturation in French oak, completed by a period in stainless steel before bottling. Estate management involves restricted yields and close attention to manual vineyard work. Within this setting, Refosco retains an individual place in the producer’s range, rooted in the winegrowing tradition of the area.
