Domaine Michel Gros' Les Chaliots is a Nuits-Saint-Georges Pinot Noir from the southern part of the village. The climat lies on an alluvial fan, with clay-rich soil that is low in limestone and contains many small stones. These include chailles, reddish flints rich in silica that gave the site its name. Its particular geology led the estate to vinify this parcel separately. The profile combines clear fruit expression, minerality and sustained acidity with a powerful structure. This relationship between substance and freshness accompanies the wine's capacity to develop in bottle.
