Description

Monteraponi’s Chianti Classico Riserva “Il Campitello” 2021 is made exclusively from grapes grown in the eponymous single vineyard in Radda in Chianti, at about 420 m above sea level. The blend is 90% Sangiovese with smaller proportions of Canaiolo and Colorino; fermentation is spontaneous in concrete vats with an extended skin contact. The wine is aged roughly 26 months in large French or Slavonian oak casks followed by further time in concrete, and it is produced under organic certification.
