Description

Purple Angel is the wine through which Montes places Carménère and its connection with Chile at the centre of attention. Its origin is the Colchagua Valley, where Apalta and Marchigüe vineyards offer complementary conditions: exposures supporting slow ripening in the former, and temperatures moderated by the nearby Pacific in the latter. The winery suggests flavourful food with fresh herbs and spices, from grilled meats in aromatic marinades to risottos, quiche and cannelloni. This interpretation of the variety is presented alongside a table of richly flavoured dishes.
