Description

Pian del Ciampolo is a red Toscana IGT wine based on Sangiovese with small additions of Canaiolo and Colorino. It is fermented in concrete tanks (about 25 days for alcoholic fermentation) with malolactic fermentation in concrete, then aged approximately 12 months in Slavonian oak casks. The wine shows red-fruit and floral aromas, a medium body, lively acidity and balanced tannins, making it suitable with roasted meats and aged cheeses.
