Description

Montevetrano combines Cabernet Sauvignon, Aglianico and Merlot at Silvia Imparato's property in San Cipriano Picentino, a few kilometres from Salerno. The hillside vineyards are sheltered by the Picentini Mountains and influenced by the sea within a mild climate. Estate-grown grapes ferment in stainless steel with skin maceration, and the wine matures in French oak barriques before resting in bottle. The producer emphasises complexity, persistence and the capacity to develop. International varieties and Aglianico therefore become a personal interpretation of the Salerno area, shaped by the project shared by Silvia Imparato and Riccardo Cotarella.
