Description

Michele Moschioni’s Pignolo is made from the grape of the same name, harvested by hand. Its maturation moves from an initial period in barriques to a longer stay in large oak casks, followed by final rest in bottle. The dense ruby colour retains violet highlights. Plum jam, blueberry and sour cherry appear in the aromatic profile alongside rose, violet and balsamic nuances recalling eucalyptus and tobacco. The palate is powerful and substantial, with lively tannins and a persistent finish. Game dishes and blue cheeses provide suitable partners for its structure.
