Description
Michele Moschioni’s Schioppettino is a single-variety red made from hand-harvested grapes. Maturation includes a period in barriques, followed by time in large oak casks and final rest in bottle. Its dark ruby colour has violet highlights. Cherries in spirit and blackberry introduce the bouquet, whose spicy character recalls pepper and cloves, with later nuances of cocoa and coffee. The palate is warm, deep and full-bodied, supported by a clearly defined backbone of acidity. Roast meats, braised dishes and mature cheeses are suitable pairings for its substantial structure and aromatic intensity.
