Description

Produced by Mouzon-Leroux, L'Ascendant is a Solera cuvée released as a non-vintage Brut Nature made exclusively from grapes of the Verzy Grand Cru. The blend is roughly 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, with portions fermented in oak on indigenous yeasts. The Solera-aged reserves (from the L’Atavique bottlings) and extended lees contact add almond, brioche and pronounced mineral tones. On the palate it is fresh and vibrant, suitable with gastronomic seafood and shellfish dishes.
