Description

Mullineux's Granite Chenin Blanc interprets the decomposed granite soils of the Paardeberg in the Swartland. The 2021 comes from Eikelaan, a dry-farmed vineyard of old bush vines, where deep roots and a full canopy help protect the grapes from sunlight and temperature fluctuations. Hand-picked bunches are pressed whole and ferment naturally in barrel. The wine remains on its lees and is bottled without filtration. This cuvée's identity rests on the relationship between Chenin Blanc and granite, with particular attention to freshness and the ability to develop gradually over time.
