Description

A single-varietal white made from Chenin Blanc grown on iron-rich (Koffieklip) soils near Malmesbury in the Swartland region. Fermentation occurred spontaneously with indigenous yeasts and the wine spent roughly 11 months in 225 L French oak barrels (4th-fill). Aromas of yellow orchard fruit, fresh orange peel and a faint flinty note lead to a layered, textural palate with a slightly saline finish; the 2021 bottling was produced in limited quantities (around 1,628 bottles).
