The Mullineux Chenin Blanc “Quartz” 2017 is a single-varietal white wine made from Chenin Blanc grown on quartz-rich soils in the Swartland district (Western Cape). Aromas of white-fleshed fruit and yellow citrus combine with a pronounced mineral character and subtle spice notes. On the palate it shows lively acidity, medium body and a chalky, saline texture that extends the finish. The wine reflects the focused, terroir-driven style of single-vineyard Chenin on quartz soils.
