Description

Nicolas Feuillatte’s Palmes d’Or Brut 2009 brings together Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in equal proportions. Grand Crus from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims are joined by Chardonnay from Montgueux in the south of the appellation. An extended stay in the cellar precedes a profile showing pale gold colour and fine bubbles. Ripe white fruit, mineral suggestions and pastry nuances emerge on the nose. The palate opens with spices and continues with fig, hazelnut and fresh walnut, followed by vineyard peach and apricot.
