Description
La Coma d'en Romeu is a Priorat Garnatxa from a south-facing vineyard in Porrera, situated at roughly 350 metres above sea level. Old vines grow on natural slopes of deeply weathered llicorella, in a landscape shared with almond, fig, hazelnut, olive and other fruit trees. The site's biodiversity is central to Ester Nin and Carles Ortiz's account of the wine. Whole-bunch fermentation with indigenous yeasts and subsequent ageing in wood accompany this interpretation of the vineyard, producing a cuvée devoted to the distinctive identity of a single place.
