Description
Olivier Pithon's D18 takes its name from the road connecting Calce with the Col de la Dona, crossing the landscape from which the wine originates. It combines Grenache Blanc and Grenache Gris selected from schist slopes within the Côtes Catalanes designation. The grapes are harvested by hand and pressed directly. Maturation takes place on the lees in large Alsatian foudres for eighteen months. Parcel selection and extended rest in wood define this cuvée, in which the two white Grenache varieties offer a focused expression of the Calce area.
