Description

Olivier Pithon's Maccabeu is a varietal Côtes Catalanes cuvée made from selected vineyards on schist. Its origin lies around Calce, where the landscape connects the Mediterranean, the Pyrenees and the Corbières. The grapes are harvested by hand, and the wine spends eighteen months maturing in large foudres. This selection of parcels and vessels gives space to Maccabeu's expression, with a character focused on freshness and minerality. The wine therefore explores in greater depth one of the white varieties also used in the estate's blends.
