Description
Overture 2022 is Opus One’s second wine, made from selected parcels of the estate vineyards. Cabernet Sauvignon dominates the blend, complemented by Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Following vinification, the wine matures for eighteen months in new French oak barrels. Its aromatic profile includes cherry, forest berries, rose stems, violet and a touch of toasted almond and anise. Blackberry, blueberry and wild cherry emerge on the palate, supported by lively acidity. The finish is long and rounded, with suggestions of coffee and black tea accompanying the lingering fruit.
