Description

Santa Chiara is a white Umbrian blend from Paolo Bea made from Grechetto, Malvasia, Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Garganega. The wine is produced with extended skin contact (an 'orange' style) which gives it structure and a burnished-gold hue. After maceration it is aged on the fine lees in stainless steel for an extended period, contributing texture and aromatic depth. Its bright acidity coupled with noticeable phenolic grip suits it to savory dishes and moderate cellaring.
