Description

Bric dël Fiasc is Paolo Scavino’s Barolo DOCG from Nebbiolo grown in the Fiasco cru at Castiglione Falletto. In 1978, Enrico persuaded his father Paolo to vinify these grapes separately, establishing the label’s identity. The vineyard faces southwest at around 260 metres, on a combination of marl, limestone and sandstone. The estate’s general sheet highlights structure and fruit density supported by acidity and refined tannins. Its aromatic references include small red berries, liquorice and balsamic nuances, in a profile intended to develop complexity with age.
