Description

The 2023 Contrada C from Passopisciaro is a Terre Siciliane Nerello Mascalese IGT red made entirely from Nerello Mascalese. It originates in the Chiappemacine cru, with vineyards around 550 m above sea level planted on arenaceous soils at the edge of Etna’s lava flows. The vines are old (about 90 years) and are hand-harvested, contributing concentration and pronounced mineral character to the wine. The palate combines ripe fruit with the typical sapidity of Etna-grown Nerello Mascalese.
