Description

Franchetti brings together Petit Verdot and Cesanese d’Affile at Passopisciaro, with vines rooted in volcanic rock and ash in Contrada Guardiola. High-density planting began in the early 2000s, and the wine’s first vintage was 2005. The blend changes with each harvest and the results achieved in the vineyard. It embodies Andrea Franchetti’s pursuit of concentration, combining Petit Verdot’s structure with the aromatic character of Cesanese. Bunch selection precedes vinification in stainless steel, followed by time in French oak, within a project shaped by the founder’s personal vision of Etna.
