Description
Patrick Piuze's Bougros comes from Chardonnay planted in 1956 on the plateau of this Grand Cru. The site naturally favours richness and volume, qualities that the cellar work seeks to balance with freshness. Fermentation and maturation in neutral barrels leave room for the vineyard's character without layering on an overt new oak signature. Broad texture is accompanied by a grapefruit accent that adds definition and complexity to the palate. The wine's identity rests on the interplay between generous fruit, substantial texture and precision, offering a full expression of Chablis with a clear sense of proportion.
