Description

Grange 2021 brings together Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon from Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and Clare Valley, following Penfolds’ multiregional blending approach. Shiraz accounts for 94% of the wine, with Cabernet Sauvignon providing the remaining 6%. Maturation takes place over 18 months in entirely new American oak hogsheads. Dark fruit, spice and chocolate notes meet touches of liquorice and menthol. The palate is expansive and deep, its substantial frame supported by sleek, dusty tannins. This is a structured South Australian red with considerable potential for development in the cellar.
