Description

St Henri presents Shiraz through a Penfolds tradition centred on fruit and maturation in large, previously used oak vats. The wood allows the wine to develop while contributing little overt oak flavour. Its first commercial vintage under the Penfolds name was 1957. Shiraz remains the focus of the blend, which may include a small amount of Cabernet. The winery describes a rich, generous style in youth, developing softer, earthy and mocha-like nuances with age as the wine continues to evolve in bottle.
