Description

Petrussa’s Chardonnay Sant’Elena is a Friuli Colli Orientali white associated with the historic Sant’Elena vineyard and its adjoining plots. The grapes come from varied, moderately rich soils containing clay and a substantial proportion of silt. The family began vinifying Chardonnay on its own in 2003, keeping the interpretation of Prepotto’s territory at the centre. Its aromatic and flavour profile has an earthy, mineral component. Combining the different parcels contributes to the cuvée’s complexity within the farming and winemaking work of Gianni and Paolo Petrussa.
