Philippe Chavy Puligny-Montrachet Les Corvées des Vignes comes from Chardonnay close to the Meursault boundary, beside the Les Charmes Premier Cru. The parcel has clay-limestone soils and includes plantings from 1948 and 1953. It forms part of the family holdings Philippe has tended since 1990, following their transfer from his parents, Odile Ropiteau and Albert Chavy. Hand harvesting precedes whole-bunch pressing and barrel maturation. The work emphasises restrained intervention, with attention to the individual origin of the wine within the estate’s range.
