Description

Philippe Chavy Puligny-Montrachet Rue Rousseau comes from a Chardonnay parcel situated to the east, below the Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru. The vines include a planting from 1955. This position identifies the village-level cuvée within the family holdings Philippe has tended since 1990, after receiving vines from his parents, Odile Ropiteau and Albert Chavy. Vineyard work favours manual intervention. In the cellar, fermentation begins in stainless steel and finishes in barrels, where maturation continues; bottling takes place without either fining or filtration.
