Description

Le Léon is Philipponnat’s single-vineyard interpretation of Pinot Noir from Aÿ. The site, situated between Aÿ and Dizy, has been part of the family’s history since the sixteenth century and forms one of the original cores of its vineyards. Strongly calcareous soils are central to the cuvée’s identity, with production limited to harvests selected for this project. One grape variety and a precise origin allow the character of the cru to be explored in depth. The house highlights its linearity within an approach focused on individual terroirs, fruit maturity, structure and freshness.
