Description

Les Cintres comes from the heart of Clos des Goisses, from the adjoining Les Petits Cintres and Les Grands Cintres plots. Philipponnat describes them as among the hillside’s oldest and best-exposed vines, reserving their Pinot Noir for particularly limited production in selected years. The cuvée is vinified entirely in oak without malolactic fermentation, preserving the relationship between maturity and natural acidity. This restricted origin makes the selection a deeper exploration of Clos des Goisses. Extended maturation on lees supports the pursuit of texture and complexity while keeping the character of the vineyard at its centre.
