Vigneti del Versante is Pian dell’Orino’s Brunello di Montalcino, bringing together several estate parcels planted with Sangiovese. The variety of sedimentary soils, including calcareous clay and marl, forms an essential part of its identity. Selection begins in the vineyard and continues in the cellar, where berries are carefully checked before spontaneous fermentation. The wine remains in contact with the skins and subsequently matures in oak casks without added selected yeasts or enzymes. Further rest in bottle completes a production process intended to preserve the differences of vineyard and vintage.
