Description

Pico Maccario’s Barolo Cannubi is a Barolo DOCG made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes planted in the historic Cannubi cru of the Barolo commune. The vineyards sit on calcareous-marly soils at about 250 m above sea level; fermentation is carried out in stainless steel with a controlled maceration and the wine is aged 18–20 months in French tonneaux. Aromas of ripe red fruit and red flowers are complemented by spicy and tobacco notes that develop with time. Its tannic structure and aging potential make it suitable for further bottle maturation.
