Description

Albesani Vigna Borgese is Piero Busso's Barbaresco expression of Nebbiolo from Neive, combining austerity with elegance. The vineyard lies between two hundred and ten and two hundred and forty metres above sea level, with southwestern exposure and calcareous clay-silt soils. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, started with a pied de cuve of indigenous yeasts, followed by maturation in large casks and bottle ageing. The producer describes a full yet flowing palate, with intensity and a clearly defined tannic structure. Its precise vineyard origin remains the reference point for this interpretation of Albesani.
