Description

Mondino comes from the Balluri area of Neive, on the Bricco Mondino hill that gives the wine its name. Nebbiolo grows on southwest-facing calcareous-sandy soils at around two hundred and forty metres above sea level. Fermentation and maceration take place in stainless steel, followed by maturation in large casks and bottle ageing. Piero Busso presents it as the range's most open, fruity Barbaresco, with delicate tannins and an approachable character. Red-fruit impressions and a silky texture accompany an elegant structure, maintaining a clear connection to its origin in Neive.
