Description

San Stunet expresses the Treiso side of Piero Busso's interpretation of Barbaresco. Its Nebbiolo vineyard lies around four hundred metres above sea level, facing southeast on calcareous-sandy soils. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts takes place in stainless steel, followed by maturation in large casks before bottling. Compared with the estate's other expressions, the producer highlights particularly pronounced freshness and a marked tannic structure, which benefit from patience before fully unfolding. Acidity supports the wine's framework, making the different hillside position of its grapes an important and recognisable part of its character.
