Description

The Pierre Paillard 1er Cru Ludes Vieilles Vignes Extra Brut 2020 is a single-vineyard Champagne made from 100% Pinot Meunier sourced from old vines (planted in 1970) in the Premier Cru village of Ludes. Winemaking includes aging in oak barrels, tirage under cork and an extended lees period of about 4.5 years, finished as an Extra Brut with roughly 2 g/L dosage. The wine shows the saline, chalky influence of the Montagne de Reims soils with a poised acidity and mineral structure.
