Description

The 2020 Taissy 1er Cru Vieilles Vignes from Pierre Paillard is an Extra Brut Champagne made exclusively from old-vine Pinot Meunier sourced from the ‘Au dessus des Monthouzons’ lieu-dit in the Premier Cru village of Taissy. Partially barrel-fermented and bottled under natural cork for the prise de mousse, this blanc de noirs spent roughly four and a half years on the lees before disgorgement. With a low dosage (about 2 g/L), it shows concentrated fruit, saline freshness and the savory character typical of Meunier.
