L'Étonnant Monsieur Victor is a family project that places blending at the centre of Pierre Péters' approach. Grand Cru Chardonnay combines selected wines from the perpetual reserve, begun in 1988, with the latest harvest from Les Chétillons. Their different ages are complementary: older wines contribute depth, while the younger component refreshes the blend's energy. Extended lees maturation under natural cork supports the cuvée's development. Labels created by Victor Péters distinguish the individual editions of a Champagne in which time is as important to identity as vineyard origin, linking several harvests through the family's cellar traditions.
