Etna Rosso Vigna Barbagalli from Pietradolce comes from a small pre-phylloxera vineyard in Contrada Rampante at about 900 m altitude. It is made from Nerello Mascalese, with about 18 days of skin maceration followed by roughly 20 months' ageing in oak barrels. The vines are around 100–120 years old and the producer highlights a mineral, persistent style.
