Description

Piguet-Girardin's La Comme is a Santenay Premier Cru Pinot Noir near the Chassagne-Montrachet boundary. The vineyard continues the Saint-Aubin valley hollow and benefits from a ventilated position. On the south- and southeast-facing slope, pale calcareous marl and iron-rich stony debris provide good drainage. Maturation takes place in oak barrels, partly new. The profile brings together redcurrant, plum and black cherry with nuances of white pepper and kirsch. The palate is broad and fleshy, supported by a lively structure and a long, fruity finish.
