Description

Chiara Boschis’s Barolo Mosconi comes from the oldest vineyard within the estate’s Mosconi property in Monforte d’Alba. Nebbiolo grows at around 400 metres on clay-limestone marl alternating with siliceous sandstone. The grapes are vinified separately to preserve the identity of their site. Maturation includes lightly toasted French oak, followed by further ageing in bottle. In the winery’s general description, ripe fruit meets floral aromas and subtle spice. The wine has substantial structure, a velvety texture and a dry, full palate, with flavours that carry through a sustained finish.
