Description

Didacus Chardonnay originates at Ulmo, near Sambuca di Sicilia, as the family’s tribute to Diego Planeta. The selection is rooted in the vineyard planted in 1985, an important stage in the estate’s exploration of international varieties. Original vines identified within that vineyard inspired the first Didacus harvest in 2014. Made entirely from Chardonnay, the wine comes from predominantly clay soils at approximately 250 metres above sea level. Work in barriques and a subsequent period in bottle support a project connecting family memory, careful grape selection and the pursuit of elegance.
