Podere Le Ripi’s Cielo d’Ulisse is a Brunello di Montalcino DOCG made from Sangiovese grown on the cooler western slopes of Montalcino. Vinification includes roughly 20 days of fermentation with native yeasts and extended ageing (about 34 months in oak barrels followed by 5 months in concrete). The alluvial, sandy soils contribute to an elegant structure and pronounced freshness. Aromas and flavors typically show rose, crisp red fruit and subtle spicy notes.
