Lupi e Sirene is the Brunello Riserva of Podere Le Ripi, in Castelnuovo dell'Abate on the south-eastern side of Montalcino. The hand-picked Sangiovese ferments and macerates for about 25 days in Vosges oak vats before long ageing. The 2019 is velvety and concentrated, with ripe fruit, Mediterranean herbs, tobacco and marked savouriness.
