Description

Batàr is Querciabella's white blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco from the hills of Ruffoli, in Greve in Chianti. Elevation and galestro soils provide the starting point for a project inspired by the tradition of ageworthy white wines. The varieties are handled separately through small-lot vinification and maturation on lees in French barriques before the final blend is established. Bottle ageing completes the process. Its identity brings together the substance developed in the cellar and the freshness of its hillside origins, giving this distinctive white a firm connection to the Chianti landscape.
