Description

Via del Campo interprets Falanghina from a single vineyard in Mirabella Eclano, on a west-facing slope around 360 metres high. Clay-limestone soil and hand harvesting at aromatic maturity form part of the cru's identity. Fermentation is divided between stainless steel and small oak barrels, followed by time on the fine lees. The producer describes apple, pineapple, aromatic herbs and wildflowers, accompanied by saline and mineral sensations. The texture is enveloping, with gentle minty and toasted nuances. Enjoyable in youth, this Falanghina is also intended to develop greater complexity through a period in bottle.
